Find your Circle

HOW IT WORKS

We organize different types of Circles. Some to help you grow, others deal with specific challenges, and some just to socialize.

Find your Circle

Circles are always limited in size - usually 5-20 members. Large enough to have diversity of expertise, but intimate enough to build trust, friendships, and pro-social behaviors.

Meet over Zoom

Circles meet either daily, weekly or monthly over Zoom. Peer-led.

Discuss over Slack

Stay connected in-between meetings over Slack. Discuss, debate, share, ask answers, get advice.

Be a Leader

Each member of the circle is a leader on one of the Circle's themes. You will periodically run a meeting, setting the agenda, format, and content.

What's our backstory?

With the global pandemic, we're all spending a lot more time at home now. And with that, we miss out on social interaction and support networks. We turn to existing online forums to fill this need, but these public groups often lack the intimacy to support certain types of conversations or relationship building.

Authentic Circles is a proven model to build small, supportive communities. Regular, repeated interactions with the same intimate group brings out the best behaviors. We learn to lean on each other. We know each other as respected peers, and sometimes even friends.

There are other models you may be familiar with for building these types of groups IRL ("in real life"), such as Meetups, Rotary clubs, Toastmasters groups, church groups, continuing ed classes. Each has their pros and cons. What Creative Circles does it to bring some of the best aspects of these models into a fully remote experience.

Frank

Frank P.

Attorney

Each Tuesday at 8pm I join up online with my Well-Balanced Life Circle. As a lawyer, I tend to overwork and neglect other aspects of my life like relationships and my health. That is where my Circle comes in. They teach and inspire me, and I build face-to-face relationships over our Zoom calls. I am happy to guide them when I have knowledge about a subject they need help in. It just works out.

Freelance Designer

I've always had to set my own schedule, but before "quarantine" I was always visiting clients. But now, it is harder to motivate and structure my day. I joined a 15 minute Daily Standup Circle for just that reason and it has been a game-changer. They expect me every morning at 8:45am and by 9:00 I am pumped and ready to start my day.

Pablo

Entrepreneur

I joined a Daily Standup Circle with 4 other start-up guys like me. We only meet for 15 minutes a day but it is invaluable to share ideas and sometimes commiserate with people going through the same stuff. Huge value for me and costs almost nothing.

New Mother

I was heads-down in my career until 3 months ago when I had my first child. I do not want to lose my edge. Joining the Well-Balanced Life Circle allows me to stay engaged, and continue learning and growing. I practice my leadership by teaching the Circle about community service and ways to get involved. It feels great to inspire my new friends in the Circle. I have gotten to know everyone as if we were friends IRL - they're not just some anonymous people on the webosphere.
